Celebrate Jewish Life at Summer Camp
A traditional community, Yesh Shabbat provides memories that last far beyond the summer — including a unique and memorable Shabbat experience.
Shabbat — We are a shomer Shabbat program. While we respect and cherish individual family customs, we have a uniform and halachic standard of observance. Every student is expected to attend Shabbat Tefilah services, led by our rabbi, counselors and students. During the afternoon, students can participate in a wide variety of Shabbat-appropriate activities. Discussion and learning groups are held on various topics. Kashrut— Our dining facilities are glatt kosher under orthodox rabbinical supervision and a large variety of meals are offered daily. When meat is served, a vegetarian alternative is always available. Our catered Shabbat dinner is a highlight of the week.
Tefilah — Daily minyanim are held in our Beit Knesset.
Torah Study — Throughout the week, students have the opportunity to take part in exciting and engaging Torah-related discussions and seminars moderated by our rabbi, director and staff.
Yesh Shabbat features two staffs: one for instruction and the other for residential life. The residential counseling staff consists mostly of college juniors, seniors and recent graduates. A low student-to-counselor ratio ensures each student is well cared for at all times. Our instructors and coaches are career educators who have devoted their professional lives to the educational, emotional and social development of children in schools and camps.

Chesed Mitzvah program
Students participate in projects to strengthen their connection with both the local and Israeli Jewish communities. Our Chesed Mitzvah program allows students to make a contribution through hands-on service, learning and advocacy. Past activities have included making care packages for Israeli soldiers, delivering food to the elderly, and giving dramatic performances for young children.
Experienced Instructors and Counselors Make It Fun
We take great pride in the quality of our staff. Our counselors are committed and passionate Jews and citizens of the world. All our male staff are well versed in Torah reading and would be happy to assist students who may want bar mitzvah lessons.Yesh Shabbat features two staffs: one for instruction and the other for residential life.
